Looking for tool similar to woodpen Pro
I am wondering if anyone out there can help me with one of the carbide cutting toold BUT the one I want is the one that takes the round cutting tool. I already have one of the square cutters but have seen the round ones in use and think gee I gotta have one of them.
Obviously the closer to home would be better because of the postage but I am keen to seen who is selling or making them?
thanks for your help Ian

Hey Dorno,
I think I have what you are after, I made a jigger for (one day doing some deep hollowing work) I brought some Cutters from the Arbortec guy at the last Wood Work Show in Perth, The Cutters from the Arbortec Pro (I Think) they are 8mm in dia, I used 8mm Key Steel, and did a bit of Grinding and there you have it. It works like a champion on Acrylic Blanks. I used the screws that come with the cutters, very small heads fit inside the cutter.
While I was in Perth one day I also brought some cutters from Hughans Saw Doctors in Ossy Park, they are about 12mm square, I have visions of doing a version of the fancy one that you have, the square cutters are about 4 or 5 bucks a throw, the only thing i think I need is a slight radius on the cutter, (we'll see one Day)
Hope this helps.

His links go to the USA site, but he does take orders and lands them in Aus cheaper than ordering direct from the USANeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Thanks Pariss that is exactly what I am looking for but there prices $89.99 (4") & $119.00 (8") are beyond a joke and there are much cheaper around. The worrst part was the fact that for international postage they say to add $50 they can't be serious but I will follow it up with them and see what it will cost all up because those price are just going off there website.

As Neil mentioned
http://www.katools.co.nz will supply them with cheaper postage as they import them from the US.
Also, have you emailed Bruce at Wood n Workshop on the Qld Nth Coast. I ended up buying the tool from him as he was cheaper than easywood tools. I can't see the fitting on his website but maybe he can get the piece in for you. Worth a try if you haven't already [email protected]

I was just looking at a casting video on Utube - Mystical Magic and saw the tool he was using was the same as the one you want. His website linked the tools to the following website -
I bought the pen pro - Pen Pro tools
I did see one tool listed at US$62 that might be okay - you have to scroll to the bottom of the tools page to see it.
