    Default how lucky was this!!

I collected some local timbers to send off a selection to Todd Gengelbach my Aust day pen swap partner. I have been merrilly turning away some pens from the same timber and today lucked out. I had collected a piece of trunk flare /roots from a very old bullock bush that fell many years ago near a tidal flat.

    Hi Seriola

You have discovered one of the wonders of turning. You never know what your going to get until you get down to the few millimeters.

Congratulations on the find. You should explain to the recipient of the pen about the wonderful treasure you have uncovered in the turning.

Great pen by the way. Fabulous finish and fit.

    Thanks for sharing

Hey Seriola, great pen !. When reading your post, I thought you were going to say you hit a nail . A nice shell insert to highlight the cap of your pen, that's a 'keeper' !
