    Default Macadamia Gall WW

I found some weird looking lumps on few branches the experts here tell me are Galls, see
here. I sliced some up and cast it with antique copper pearlex coloured resin. I have since found out the tree is an actual macadamia.

So here is the first pen turned from it, a JR Gent II finished in CA. It turned out well with swirling grain, a bit of bark, and the resin . I've noticed from the photo I didn't get the size right at the bottom of the bottom piece , so I'll have to pull it apart and add some more CA to fix it .

    Cheers
    Neil
