Maple Walnut
50 caliber Cross ballpoint made with a piece of Maple for the casing and a piece of Black Walnut for the nib.
Not real happy with the nib shape compared to an actual 50 cal projectile.
Sanded to 400x, buffed with super fine steel wool, applied 6 coats of MINWAX Oil Modified Water Based Clear Gloss Polyurethane and buffed finish to get a mat finish.

Les, your pens just keep getting better and better. That pen is a stroke of genius. Very well done

Nice one Les, not sure how you have the nib end done, and i agree with you on the shape, possible to make a "do over"? Great idea and execution of it too mate well done.

Nice pen and concept , my only issue with these 50 cal types is they are big enough for a parker, but you have to modify the design slightly to achieve this, cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!
