    Default Merry Xmas Mudley

    Hey There,

A while ago I showed Mudley a couple of Fountain Pens and he was pretty impressed, and asked me to make some for him from the Red Mallee that he has been processing for me, Here are his Sedona Fountain Pens, Red Mallee Burl (Mudley) Sedona Fountain Pen Kits (Timberbits) sanded to 12000 MM, CA (Bloody Heaps) and Hutts Friction Wax,

The one on the right had a bit of Dry Rot in the Finial end, I thought that I stabilized it enough, about 1mm from finish diameter BANG , I found must of the bits and added some Shavings and CA, let it settle for a Beer, and got it done. I think he will be happy,

That's one good thing about burls ,you can do repairs and can rarely be seen afterwoods, just a bugger it happens so often Lovely pens those and nicely balanced for writing ,not like some of the larger kits ,well done all round cheers ~ John

    Hey Neil,

Yeah I do hate that, I used to have a dog food tin that I put my Stuff ups in, It's a 4 litre Paint Tin at the moment, and I think that now that I have re-visited my gluing process, that might be the only tin I'll need for quite a while . I hope.

    Very nicely done Hazza!
That Red Mallee Burl looks with the gold plating.
    Excellent fit and finish.
    Great photos too.

Great combination of timber and kit, beautifully done.
    Reality is no background music.
