messed up hardware - help please?
Hi everyone,
So far my pens have been assembled dry (no adhesives holding the kit together), but today I assembled 4 pens and put a dab of thick CA in the joints before assembling, to get a better long term hold.
Big problem - after less than 5 minutes after finishing the pens (including nibs), I took the lid off one and it had completely discoloured. Is CA the enemy? Is this perhaps just while the CA is drying, or are these pens stuffed for good?
Or will new nibs just take care of the problem, and not go bad (after the CA has set for a few minutes?

Yes, CA does react with many of the coatings, almost like a corrosion. Wipe off as soon as you can, but off too late, try buffing. Be carefull though, it doesn't take much to buff the plating off
