Here are my latest two attempts. I know...I suck at photography. All comments and criticisms welcome and appreciated.

You have fine tuned and acheived a good appearance and swirl, what is the new name?

Yesterday i turned a coffee bean blank, waste of a good brass tube, the coffee bean was soft still and adhesion was poor.

    Greetings from Peter and Wilma
PS in two weeks time I will send you my latest venture in blanks only found in Australia. Expecting them next week.

    G'day Peter,
Thank you much. I don't have a name for them yet. That will probably be more work that coming up with the blank. You have my curiosity peaked with the new blank....can't wait. The coffee bean blank sounds interesting....did you use roasted beans? I would guess the hard part would be getting the oil out of them....maybe soaking them in alcohol might work. Give Wilma a hug or two from us.

    Thanks Artme for the compliments..

The blank was an extra when I bought blanks from the USA a while back along with the corn cob one. It was a short blank and I intended to match it to a purple wood blank for the top half.
In the encapsulating casting process the coffee beans in my humble are not hard enough and chip, sanding gives carry over.
There are folks who do successfully acheive results with the IAP check their records of sellers and makers perhaps the dude who makes shredded dollar bill blanks etc. This was too soft for me.
Thanks I have carried out your suggestion re hugs and she joins with me for the peace and harmony in your family as well.

Thank you all for the comments. I am still not 100% happy with the blanks. There is no pearl in them at all. Just the resin and the metal. The patterns are a result of the "leafing" characteristics of the metal and the particle size. Different pouring techniques are affecting the pattern.
