Hey Ian,
Have a look at 'Key Ring' Kits, from Memory the offcut from an acrylic blank is just the right size for a key ring, and they are a nice small thing to have on your display, some people will look at your stuff, and have a chat, and feel that they should buy something, a few $5.00 key rings may pay for the bay for the day, or add to the profits.
Good Luck

Hey Ian, that is what I was going to do this weekend, but I was going to cut my offcuts at about 10mm thick, on a 45 deg angle and have them staggered, wood / PR /wood / PR, segmented. I think that would look really different. But the boss has had me out doing a major cut back around the place. After the huge wet season we've had up here in the tropics, everything is overgrown. The damn lawn grows 6 inches in one week in summer, Sure looking foward to winter

Can be any angle, since you have the tube holes as a common reference to centralise the assembly, you just have to have the mating angles match, build them round the tube vertically, i saw an article while websurfing the other day by a few guys in the US (unfortunatly i didn't save it). Sounds like you need to make an angle sled jig for your bandsaw Ian.
Neal.
Edit: found link in browser history, goes into herringbone etc. http://content.penturners.org/articl...gpenblanks.pdf its a pdf, the site i found it from is here, (http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1488) giving credit where its due, hope this is acceptable.Last edited by thompy; 11th April 2011 at 06:50 AM.
