Modified Olympia
With a great piece of Figured Walnut from Bill Young.
Sanded to 400x, buffed with Super Fine Steel Wool and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Clear Gloss Polyurethane.
This MINWAX is great stuff, no buffing or polishing required!

Les and the Gods Of Olympia
Smooth as, sweet as, clear as, turned as, seen as, displayed as pic as good as they can get. Dont know Bill Young but have great respect for his figured Walnut and all your work. There I resisted saying as usual but that is true as.
Dark stuff is the dickens to open up to view but your pen is apparent and a standout too.
Great pen mate. Great Pen.
Regards Peter.

Thanks Les, had a look at the tutorial and suddenly realised that I had already downloaded it quite a while ago, but hadn't given it a try yet.
I will keep my eye out for the Minwax. From one of the posts under your tutorial it appears that it may be available from Bunnings over here.Dallas

Excellent pen Les, the one piece design really shows off the wood.
Don't know if this is the same as what Les uses but Mr Rum got in Darwin and hand delivered it to me.
