    Default Musk and Green

I have used some spare time over the last couple of days making this fountain pen.
A piece of Musk caught my eye when I was looking through a box of blanks, I am pretty sure this piece came from Penpal Peter.

It has 12x0.8mm double start threads on the cap, the finish on the Musk is a couple of coats of Danish Oil rubbed back to take all shine off, then a coat of Ubeaut Traditional Wax. Feels and looks great.
The clip is a spare I had left over from a gold Cigar kit that was raided of some parts.
Fitted with a Jinhau 6mm nib and a Shmidt ink converter.

-2C now (just before lunch) with wind chill of about -7C. Last week it was hitting -50 wind chill at night. So not sandals and a T-shirt weather. Even the UPS drivers have put their shorts away for a bit. Ice pen anyone?

Brrrr. +34C here and humid! plus large thunderstorm cells about. Ironwood would have similar to us.

Very sweet pen Ironwood. Love the minimalist lines. Should be a hit with millennials, that is if they require a pen.

Sounds a bit chilly for this Black Duck Pete. The ice pen sounds cool, but definitely wouldn’t last long here.

That is similar to what we are having here, the temps aren’t too bad, but the humidity is what gets you. I am working nights at the moment, and even at night we have humidity in the high 80%’s.

Luckily I enjoy making these pens, as I haven’t really found a market for them yet. I am sure there is one, but not so much in my area.

Market? Maybe the wealthier greener yuppies in the cities. Maybe try someone who sells crafts as city farmers markets.
Don't under price them. Lots of cheap pens out there. Stand out from these with .... style/design, materials, quality and price.

Cheers Euge. Later on when I have a bit more time on my hands, I will find a way into the the market for this type of pen, it will take a bit of work. I know of quite a few people doing ok with their pens, mainly in America and Europe, but with the Internet, the world is a smaller place.
