    Default Mutt and Jeff

A comparison between a Cigar kit (Mutt) and a GEOFF Kit (Jeff) done with Brazilian Rosewood which weighs in at 3.0 oz compared to the Cigar which weighs in at 1.3 oz.
The GEOFF takes a Parker refill and is extended and retracted by twisting the lower section.

Brazilian Rosewood finished with 6 coats of MINWAX Water Based Oil Modified Clear Satin Polyurethane.

Do you all think the GEOFF kit would be great for people with arthritic hands??

Sorry for the lousy photo, getting used to a new camera.

    Les

    Thumbs up

    Beautifully done Les.

I'm surprised at how light the colour of Brazilian Rosewood is.

    Interesting

I reckon there would be some call for it - there has been requests for fatter pens on occasion

is the nib end the same as a slimline?

    Nick,

The nib is larger than a Slimline in order to accommodate the Parker style refill.

Hi Les This is the same pen I made and posted about 6 months ago and it received mixed review back then lol but I do agree that it does have a purpose o I will have to wait and see how it goes.

In accordance with my mother and first X-wife, both with bad arthritus, no. Both say due to lack of grip, their hand would still sip down the pen, better to have a fatter pen but need stop (bead or similar) at bottom.
