    Maple of some sort as I recall turning something similar, lovely deep finish especially on that sort of timber, well done!

    There is a myriad of different cloths to use when applying CA so is there a special type of dunny paper needed?

    Sorbent 'Hypo Allergenic', it has a very fine pattern on it, looks like fly screen wire pattern. I only ever use, and recommend 'new' paper, although 2nd hand stuff is always useful for filling 'chip-outs and voids' in blanks.

    Can I suggest you shop a bit more upmarket if your dunny paper resembles wire fly screen
