Huon Pine
Hi
I have some off-cuts, flitches etc. of Huon Pine - it's about 15 years old and has been under cover for at least the last 10 or so years.
I'm wondering whether to cut this up as pen blanks to sell or leave it in the odd sizes and shapes or what to do?
What do you guys think - is there a market for pen blanks at say a $1?
It's plain (no fiddle or birds eye) and short lengths / odd shapes.
What else can i do with it?
Thanks

Hey Woody,
Even plain looking Huon is impressive when turned, what sort of quantities do you have ??
Some pics would be nice,

I reckon that would be about right on for the price. Carba-Tec sells timber blanks for about that price. Depends on the timber and the figuring. Plain timber doesn't appeal to some people. Good luck with it.
If you want to sell the timber, you might be better off selling it as is instead of cutting it up. Might be useful for making small items like boxes.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
