    nice bit of wood

I've had a look at these on overseas sites and wonder how the marketplace will take to them

Sorry, got to move this thread to Wood Turning General - it's not a pen even though it looks great and lights up your life.

    Nicely done John.

They look similar to the ones I get here in Canada.

    Hello John

Very nicely done and I am sure there can be a market for these. It is funny because way back when I started my little scrollsawing business some 25 years ago I signed up with a promotional company to have different things made for promotions at my booth. One item was pens with my name on the and all. You can get quite a few for very reasonable pricing and it was a good way to get your name out there. I got into thinking maybe I could make pens like this too and that story is now history. But my point is they still send me samples of things I can order. I have not ordered from them in awhile but seems they still have my name on file. One of the things they recently sent me is something similar to what you show. It is a pen, a light, and also has one of those rubber thingys on the end for tablets. It actually is quite well made and pretty cool. I was thinking of ordering these and reworking them with some cool blanks.

They use to send some pens that were click pens and for the life of me they were much better made than what you can buy in kit form and last forever. They were so cheap. It gets you thinking sometimes why these pen kit makers can not make better kits. They also use to send me pocket knives that were really well made. I can not get kits made this well.

Sorry for getting off track. Your work is always a pleasure to look at and this is something I am sure will do well for you. Thanks for showing and keep up the good work.
