One for ME !
Finally made a pen to call my own
It's a gold click gatsby in Rib-fruited=malley, Looks like what I have seen similar to Amboyna !
Also made one in chrome at same time, easier to do 2 at a time.

That's an interesting bit of figure below the clip on the left photo. Well done!

Put the two together hard to see a difference , the gatsby is my first!! made lots of sierras , the only real difference I can see is the gatsby nib section is about 3 mills longer ,some may talk of brand name and quality of kits etc, I am no expert after only a few months at this pen-making hehe, If I had to say anything the gatsby click mechanism sounds a bit "tinny" to me but works fine.may work in a bit with use

Nicely done. I like it. I like the bit of sap wood sneaking in there at one end. Nicely finished too.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

GP like the subtle curve on the Gatsby, the mallee figure and colour are brilliant. It is a keeper for sure. Nice fit and finish as well

Both are winners. Nice finish. Almost identical to two Wall Street11 I just finished in Amboyna. You might use the penmill by hand to re-true the ends of the finished blank so to minimize the gap between the blank & kit.

Russell, don't know about 'people' but I like the feel/weight of the click. There are probably times that a click would be more handy than a twist. If you're carrying something in your hands it would be more convenient than trying to use both hands to get the twist into operation. Don't know about the other brands but the Wall Street11 [from Woodcraft] is a nice pen. Very smooth operation. I think they're made by Berea. Get a couple---you'll like them. Uses the same bushings.
