    Default Opionions ??

Hey guys. Is it just me or do you guys find the new forum layout and the ease of use of the features and photo posting procedure and the overall picture quality to be of a lesser standard then we use to have ?. I loved the old look and ease of contributing comments and posts to the previous layout. Posting a photo now is a pain to say the least & pic quality is pretty poor. Don't know why they had to change our beloved forum.

It took me a couple of days to get used to where things were, but since than it has been just fine - kind of like getting used to the layout in your mates shed.

I can't see that the picture quality has changed.

    It's just fine with me.

While in its "teething stage" was a bit confusing but at almost 70 young I have adapted ok ,The old forum was having trouble coping with the size it had become ,and needed major repairs on a regular basis, this new version is still not completed and will allow more features (yet to come) Having been an admin on forum sites for some years there is an awful lot of background work involved in any major site ,mostly volunteers ,so the easier it is to keep on top of things the happier all are , patrons and staff alike hehe, cheers ~ John

Why do you think picture quality is worse? If anything it is actually better as the picture lightbox resizes the image to suit your screen if it's bigger, but if you want to see the full size image, just click on the lightbox and it will open the image in a new tab/window at full resolution.

The new uploader is great as it will allow you to sort the order after uploading and also use previously uploaded images again.
    Cheers

Hello Stephen, just persevere a little and make a stack of pens and keep posting your great work, Remember any blemishes on the pen are because of the site!, and good parts are due to our skill!!!!!!, Amos

Hi DJ. I guess I just have to get use to the new set-up re posting pics. I use an Apple iMac and iPhoto, and the 'insert attachment' process is a bit clunky and not as straight forward as it was. I'll get use to it anyway. Cheers

There were problems when we first upgraded but a lot of changes have been made since then. I use an Mac and now actually find it simpler (just different).

Although I am not a fan of the skin as it looks pale. I am still having problems with the program freezing when i am trying to send a message using Internet explorer but have since downloaded and installed mozilla firefox and seem to have far less problems. I am sure alot of things will work out over time and things will settle down fine.

I think I will try inserting a photo. Have not tried this yet. Seems the same to me doing it this way.

Got back from holidays recently and saw the new set up. It takes a little getting used to but isn't any harder to use. I agree that the background colour is a bit pukey.

Hang in there Pariss, we will be up in a couple of weeks and can show you how to use the forum
