They were trying to sell it as a live edge slab. About 2" thick and a few feet long and a foot and a half wide, but it had a gouge about half an inch deep right in the middle where something really sharp and hard had hit it. There was no saving that side and I didn't care for the other so I passed. In hindsight, however, I should have bought it and cut it into pen blanks. Nice to see that in my old age my hindsight is still 20 - 20.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Sort of like SWMBO and I both liking a particular watercolour painting, realising it after and going back to the gallery the next morning, only to find it had been sold
My real problem at the moment is I have the bad habit of looking at every bit of wood to see how many pen blanks might be in it Some of them would make nice bowls or handles etcregards
