    Default pair of tritons

just made this pair of tritons , one of which is my first fountain .
thought i would do a roller and a fountain and see which one sells first .
both are in spalted cross cut hackberry , half a dozen coats of thin CA and wax over that for the low sheen satin finish .
not having done any fountains before i have not fitted any thing in the pen in the ink dept , i figure if someone buys it i will just give them what came with the kit and they can go which ever way they choose cartridge or twist pump thingy.

They look really good well done
I like the spalted Hackberry. I made one and SWMBO swiped before it stopped spinning on the lathe
You have made the correct choice for the fountain pen. If you put the ink in before the client is ready it will dry up.

Very smart indeed ! With luck someone will buy the pair ,no choosing between those 2 hehe. You are right not to charge with ink though as it can dry out and not work so good . I have a bottle of ink handy on my display and if people wish to test the nib they can do a dip and try, a tissue wipes off any excess ink for next time ,if there is one
    cheers ~ John

    Hey Texx,

Very Nice pens there, I usually give the Client the Fountain Pen, with the Pump Thingy in the pen and add the Ink Cartridge and tell them that they can get, some real ink or play with the Cartridges, (There is a big difference between the Cartridge and Real Ink)
