Panaché Rollerball
Hi All,
After seeing Tony (Aus Maddog) post up some pics of his Beautiful Panachè collection it reminded me I need to post some pens I have been busy making. This one in particular is as the title suggests a Chrome Panachè Rollerball from Timberbits. The blank is actually from Tony which I received in the Aus day pen swap. It is a beautiful piece of New Guinea Rosewood Birdseye Burl. It has been finished by sanding to 1200 then about 10 - 15 coats med CA then Micro-mesh with a bit of auto polish to finish. I don't know how many coats exactly as I go by measurement now. I am still undecided if I like the kit or not. It feels good in the hand and looks ok( it does realy show off the blank though) but yeah, the jury is out still. Any way here are some pics.

looks great mate, that has some great character, the finish has come up great as well
i made a number of these a few years ago, they work well as a desk pen, easy to find when standing up, there is one on my desk at work but it rarely gets used
great job

I love the wood, the finish and workmanship but the pen shape doesn't attract me however, maybe if I actually saw it in presence my likes could change(They did with the Churchill's) Amos

Thanks Mik, I think I picked the right kit to show off the blank with this one, especially with the paler bits on the end, now to do on out of an acrylic Blank I think
Thanks Skiprat! I am happy with how it came out
Thanks for the comments Amos, I like the shape but there is something I can't put my finger on with this kit, but it is starting to grow on me,
Cheers Neil, I actually found this kit a little tricky with CA finish for some reason, hope your enjoying your adventure!
Thanks again guys
