Panache
I had a few spare hrs today after doing my market pens ,so thought I would try one of these "Panache" pens, takes a bigger than normal blank so found this piece of stabilised crows ash ,courtesy of Neil (dai sansei) bit trickier than it looks though, as no room for error and the top and bottom have tapered fittings, might have been a bit easier with bushes hehe, IT came out quite nice ,the last photo is out of focus, but I left it to show it does shine with the CA finish Cheers ~ John

Nice work John, that Spalted Crows Ash just seems to suit the Panache shape.

Nice one John. I have some of Neil's Crows Ash, and after seeing that, I will have to get in to some of it.

Tony ! After seeing your lovely example of these in your display case I thought it was time to have a go at one,I didn't think I would like it at first but it grows on you in reality it is exactly the same height as my .50 cals, and the same dia at the base ,I sell plenty of those ,so this may not last long either The wood does make it a bit special though hehe. Cheers John

Great looking result John
I like the look of those kits. The timber looks like Buck-eye-burl, just without the eyesNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
