Very impressive Ian. Seen a few Tigers around here and I steer well clear of them, they're a bit more aggressive than the Browns. What do you feed your snakes?

I got asked to re-wire normal lights and heat lamps and a heat pad into a friends snake 'box'.
Was wood with a glass front and for some reason a double floor with a hole so they could get between them.
He used to keep it in the lounge room with 2 snakes in it, Pythons I think.
DAMM did it pong. I made comment how strong it was and he said he cleans the box twice a week and if he leaves it for a week it gets bad.

I used to work in a rubber factory and that always had a sulpher smell but after 3 weeks working there you didn't smell it anymore.
Just wondering if maybe he thought it didn't pong and couldn't smell it anymore.

    Default Hi Ian,

Snakes quite shake me was curious how they show attachment to you what are the friendly signs, those to be aware of how can you tell, are they implicitly reliable or temperamental? I quite liked to see your pics of them. When the snake is hatching eggs are they safe for you to handle?

    Kind regards Peter.

    Hey Peter

Lol mate I have or I should I say had a few family members (my mum and cuz my sister and bother inlaw) that weren't sure about them at first but they have all came around and they all enjoy having a hold ) I have one family member that is still petrified of them but I am slowly bringing her around one baby step at a time ). I know when my snake aren't comfortable being held by someone (mainly someone that is not a 100% comfortable them selfs) as they try a get back to me lol as for temperament all my stimsons pythons are as placid as a big fluffy dog that just wants to lick u to death lol as for my SWC pythons my female is placid and only hisses at me when she is in pre slough (shedding) other then that she is just gorgeous and she was my first snake. My male SWC python on the other hand does not like to be man handled while in his enclosure he has had a go at me a couple of times while I was trying to get him lol but when he is out he is just as placid as my female one and my Woma pythons are placid as and love to be handled especially my male one even though when I first got him that was not the case he was very territorial and would strike out at anything that got to close other then me ) so with regular handling that behavior has since long gone and he is always at the front of the glass waiting to get his cuddles lol. My Mumma snake Aphrodite is a gentle soul I have removed her from the eggs a few times to check on them and she doesn't mind so having said that I guess u all want to know if I have been bitten and Yes I have 4 times all feeding bites due to my own stupidity lol that's what happens when u don't wash your hands after handling there food feeding one snake and then going to get another 1 or 2 out of enclosure and then they smell the scent on your hand and bang u just got nailed again Ian when will u ever learn pmsl but over all they are awesome pets to have and there not noisy like a cat or dog and easy to look after. I hope to add another 3 to my collection this year another Stimsons python to go with my little baby one from Aphrodite clutch last year and 2 Black Headed pythons as well ) nothing like a big scaly mate to give u a cuddle )
