Paua Shell
Hey All
Here is one of Mark's blue dyed Paua shell blanks wet sanded to 1200g and finished with NP. It was a dream to turn and looks the goods to me wrapped around a Executive Sierra Australiana ;-)
Thanks
Ian

That is very nice Ian good stuff. The abalone blanks really are something special.
I used one on a Sierra majestic for the wife's birthday last month and she is over the moon with it, cheers, Des

I've seen it on quite a few of your pens but didn't comment, but this one stands out so: why are you blanks so over sized? Are you doing it deliberately or are your bushes the wrong size?
Sorry, but I believe it spoils what would otherwise be beautiful pensNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

As these are hand made here in Australia, using genuine Nz paua shell - we are offering single tube kits like Sierra, Polaris, EB, and bolt action kits at $15ea a tube, with 3 or more being $10ea..
Two tube kits like JR, Baron, Majestic and Corona, are $20 a set with 3 or more $15 a set/

Re: Paua Shell
Hey Neil
All good mate u have ur opinion and I have mine. I did this for a reason my shedded blanks sometimes the skin can become exposed especially if it's from a big SWC python this does not always happen but I have just decided to continue it with my pens for the expo. I do like them flush but I also like it like this if ur not a fan thats fine I can live with that but I will keep doing it anyway. For Paua I did the same because I did not want to expose the shell either and I think the pen/ pens speak for themselves as I have already sold the Paua shell one already and I only turned it last night so all that aside I believe that each and everyone of us over time develops a style and I have developed mine ;-) Neil dont take it the wrong way it's just my opinion ;-) I look up to alot of yous guys and Neil ur one of then ;-)
Hey Mark
Thats cool mate go for it
Ian
