Peach pits :)
Had this blank for a few months ,but other priorities kept getting in the way ,this was a peach pits blank donated from a nice gentleman in the USA ,he has more to give away I think I found a kit that would use the full blank ,a chrome magnetic rollerball . cheers ~ John

Any hollow bits found, inside the pips?
Were your tubes painted? To add colour, you could paint the hole drilled for the tube.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Neil, I painted the tubes black just in case ,because the hollows in the seeds were black ,maybe from the epoxy not sure, they were pretty close fitted together for casting so very little showing between them, this one was 4 and a half seeds and I didn't find any hollows, but poured thin CA inside just in case then redrilled and used epoxy to glue up ,turned on my metal lathe as was very hard material and unknown stability factors cheers ~ John

Peach pits, nectarine pits, apricot pits are all very hard.
In Leeton ( when they had a cannery ) peach pits were free for driveway filling. Apricot pits were also used.
Some apricot pit were bought by a company that ground them to a powder used in jewellery polishing.
