Peeved
My mini Carba-tec has it headstock and drive shaft pulled apart. There was about 1.5mm play in the front bearing of the head stock. I only got 20 years out of the first set of bearings, thought I could have got more. Seriously though I can't say how good this little lathe has been. I even bought a new belt cause the old one ha stretched a little after the 20 years. still running the original motor and the head stock spindle run as true as it did the first day I bought it. I wonder how it's modern equivalent stacks up to the old model?

Darren you son of a gun
How many lives can a lathe have, 9 like a cat I figure, can recall lots of horror stories published on this site with other lathes, nice to hear a compliment to a manufacturer.

That has been good service to you Darren I doubt any of the new machinery will last that long.
Quality last long after the price is forgotten.

Is this a brand specific to Australia? Have not heard of it. How big is it and is it still available?
