Thread: Pen disassembly and refill

need a pickie of the pen, but i am guessing that it is a slimline type of pen in which case the top and bottom halves should just pull apart and the ink refill can then be unscrewed, which would be the black plastic thingy that you can see

if not then post a pickie so that we can see the type of pen you have

If I were you I'd trot down to the newsagent and buy some good quality Parker (or similar known name brand) refills. Instead of the ones that come with the kits.

Try one in your daily user and you'll be surprised at the difference.

Once you start making good quality pens, you'll probably end up replacing all the refills when you assemble and end up with a drawer full of the cheapies. But that's OK... there's always someone who'll try to grind down your price to under cost, so why waste a good refill on them?

I work on you want the quality you pay the price if not go to k-mart and buy some plastic bics

I have not had a problem with the cheap refills my first pen is still going and I have not replaced the refill. Yes i do not use it every day but it does get a good flogging on a regular basis. Admittedly it was made by Dayacom and not the cheaper slims that have hit the market.
