Default Which pen kit is your favourite?

There are so many kits out there, I found myself wondering which pen kits turners on the forum think are the most fun or attractive or functional or saleable. For instance, the Carbatec rubber comfort grip pens are the pens I find most requested and therefore saleable.

This doesn't have to be limited to kits sold in Australia either.

For me the humble cigar kit is my favourite to work with ,has a wide range of finishes and can be a pencil biro or fountain pen ,has enough meat on the body to allow various treatments with casting (like my stainless and such) and I sell these to as many women as men so for versatility it gets my vote hehe ! cheers John

My Choice is the EB along with the flat Top Sierra I also Like the Jr Victor and I agree with john the old fashioned Cigar pen comes in handy for a number of reasons.

    Hey there,

I have to agree with bdar, the Sierra range is pretty hard to go past, I am also liking the Knights a lot, now that I'm doing a few.

Hey HazzaB I guess I am use to making the Atlas/Cabarra/Patriot/Polaris pen, that many names for it, i look at the Knight and the knob just looks out of place. But that is just me.

My two favourites are the Berea Platinum/hybrid cigar which I find comes up beautifully, and the good old Baron. I don't know why the Baron has been my favourite - there are nicer looking pens out there, I think, but I have always had a soft spot for it.

    Hey Dave
to you want to show us what the berea Hybrid Cigar looks like as it really doesnt bounce into picture. It's been quite some time since we have seen many berea kits at all.

    Where are you Brett ?

    Cheers ian

    Hi,

    This is from Bretts site...

    From this page...

I really find it to look and feel quite a bit classier than the std ones.

I have to say that I personally do not like to use the EB. I have made a few and am about to give one away to a mate turning over a significant number who really likes the design. Holding metal is not the same as timber or if necessary 'plastic'.

    Just my opinion.
