Pen Kit Storage
Hey fellers. I called into the local 'Howard's Storage World' the other day looking for something better than the decaying cardboard box I had all my pen kits in. This is what I found. Although I would have preferred a larger size, these hold around a dozen average size kits per container. So it makes it nice and easy to find the model kit your after without rummaging through a big box, and you can see when your stock is running low.

Looks vert neat Pariss, but if I did mine that way, I'd need a whole room full of containers . I have mine hanging on long "L" hooks underneath a shelf above the lathe. The hooks are 3 deep for pens/pencils/fountain pens, and a line of hooks for each style/finish, so yes a lot of hooks. I still need more though, there are another 200 kits in my study waiting to be hung

I use metal drawers made by hand. That is my Son's hand. Will take pics and show you all. Very spiffy if I do say so.

They are great little units Pariss. I would go for some except i don't have a space inch left on my walls to hang anymore up on so I am stuck with the cardboard box. Noticed there is not a speck of dust in that part of your shed

Good looking set-up. I use a different type of flip out bin system for my kits. I found that you can load more kits in each bin if you remove the refills from the kit. The refills were always getting caught when trying to close the bin, kit storage got much easier with the refills out.
I wish my shop was as neat as yours, mine has never looked that good.Brad, HardingPens.ca

I sae the ultimate storage unit at Bunnings this morning. A 6 foot high tool box with a work platform at the top under LED lights - hepas and heaps of storage shelves for tools (but none big enough for a decent chuck). A full stereo system built in and a fridge in the bottom left corner (to store resin, no doubt). Stainless steel and all for the very cheap prive of $2395. Not sure if that includes delivery
