    Default 8-15-2-13 Two Pens

Last week we did a Cigar Pen but when doing the CA finish we ran out of accelerator so I we tried Glen 20. What a disaster that was. Could not get rid of the white impregnated in the CA. So we had to turn all the CA off the blank and start again when we got some accelerator. The timber was brown Mallee Burl.

This week we did a Bullet Pen with the blank being She Oak.

Tim I hope that wasn't a piece of Mallee I sent up it still had a lot of wax on it I think it may have needed soaking in a solution to loosen the wax or in a microwave. Still its come up a treat well done.

Now look who's getting fancy bullet pens a good job on your first

Going well Timbo. You just need to turn the blanks a bit finer at the ends and square off the end of the blanks before you press them into the kits and then the CA won't split from the ends.

    Default glen 20

I have tried glen 20 a few times. It is way too hit and miss, sometimes it works and sometimes it leaves the white marks. I dont think I will use it again. The success rate is a bit better if you do the first few layers without a spray then start to use it.
