Pen meeting yiels nice wood
This piece here is a stick I picked up during the last Arkansas Chapter meeting at Joes' place! From what I remember this is a piece that came from behind the church in Morrilton, Arkansas.
It's a piece of Red Oak with bark inclusion and minor spalting on a Jr. Gent I chrome rollerball.
The stick had a few soft spots that needed some thinCA soaked into it just before finally sanding. But the grain structure here was enough to allow me a few moments of sucking fumes(yes, even with the fan on high speed, it still got to me) to end up with something pretty nice!
Thanks for looking, comment and critiques are always welcome!!!

Yes, I have the light tent set-up and the exposure values are pretty ingrained into my skull. It takes approximately 45 seconds longer to shoot the photo's and maybe two minutes to run them through the program. So it makes sense to me to get a well balanced photograph that needs pretty much nothing done to it.
Thanks everyone!

That is a work of art.
Only thing that I would change is the roller ball refill to one with a chrome/silver nib instead of the brass coloured one. IMHO.
Cheers
Shawn
Edit: Could just be the lighting as in the four colour pour pen the nib looks chrome/silver.
