Other Things
Had six woman in my life one time. With a son, five daughters,my wife and me. I used to make the stick perfume pen the ones with a wick, they went into the momento drawer cause dad made them. Some of those kids are now grandmothers now.
These days my friends say that perfume does not come in bottles much and most good ones are dipensers in themselves that spray misted heaven knows what no way to pour into something else and quite expensive so they use them.
The small pen group at my club are testing the value of the many other uses and oportunities of torches, darts, key rings and the one hundred other items that we can use on our mandrels.Next meeting looking at Lace Bobbins first.
I will let you know of the cross section thoughts in time from us.
Incidentally all the woman in my life are still in but mostly live distances away.
Look forward to seeing what others think. Glad you asked.
Regards Peter

Hey soundman..What about those bottle stoppers. I have never made one yet but they are suppose to be as addictive as pens. The only reason I have not is to me it seems silly idea. What od you want a bottle stopper for?

Bottle stoppers
Big market at wineries all around the country, fabulous at trash treasure, week end markets even the tyre kickers buy them. Besides they are classy, good corks hard to find but beware chrome with O rings abound now so out with the old and in with the new making wood the collectable and more valuable.
My observation only. Peter

I've done a couple of bottle stoppers and have some in the drawer.
BTW carbatec had them reduced.
I'me not sure about them though.... all the serious wine drinkers (rather than serious wine skullers) seem to have some sort of Vacume pump stopper kit.
All wood with food grade "O" rings now theres a thaught...... out of oak..... they couldnt complaign about that.
then again lots of wine is comming in screw tops.
Hmmmmmm

that means that you can learn to do the screw threads. Does anyone recall the screw-threaded cordial bottles that used to be around?
