Default New pen, a great score and my dog.

    Hi,

Finally cool enough to go into the shed. Has been over 40 degrees since before Christmas. The pen is an acrylic slimline.

The great score is what I have been told is Blackwood. From a dead tree. Looks pretty good i reckon. Can you tell me if it is Blackwood?

Last photos are of my shed mate Sasha. She is getting old now.

Will be back in the shed tomorrow to make some Polaris pens out of camphor laurel and sandalwood.

    Thanks for looking.

    Todd.

    Hey Todd,

nice pen mate, I think that blank is one that bronco supporters may take a shine too,

the wood I have no idea about

And your little mate looks like she doesn't like having her picture taken judging by the first photo

    Keep up the good work

    cheers Ben

    Thumbs up

Good looking pen, especially if you support the Broncos!!

The timber could be blackwood by the look of the bark but the colour looks
light on to me. Might just be the photo.

Looking at the sapwood it looks pretty old and dry, with no end sealer, so this too could explain the lightness.

The tree was cut down 24 hours ago. It was already dead.

I can't believe that I have made a broncos pen. I hate the broncos - almost as bad as Manly. Inspite of the colour it is still a nice pen.

Geez Todd I was going to give you a nice comment till you said you hate the Broncos, but then you made it even worse by comparing them with that other team. Tisk, tisk.

I don't know anything about pens but I love it when dogs leave their tongues poking out like in your first dog picture.
