    Default Latest pen - "Simply Sarah"

    Having made fourteen pens so far for a customer who is
    associated with the Australian Native Plant Society, I recently
    asked him to find a scrap in the garden and I would make a
    pen from it.

    He gave me a piece of Grevillia named "Simply Sarah", a pic
    is attached, and he is rapt with the result. He specializes in
    Grevillias and it will no doubt mean a little extra for him.

    Most of the fourteen pens to date have been "give-aways" to
    guest speakers at their meetings.

    Nice one Allan!!

    Honey Gem is good to turn. I have made several bowls and pens from it. Bowls look especially good when you get branches coming off and the end grain shows in the bowl.

    Thank you Arthur, will look out for that one.

    He has hundreds of Grevillias so might have to raid
    his garden when he is not looking.
