Please don't take this wrong, but:
It looks like a jello salad pen to me (The proper name is aspic)
My grandmother would have loved that pen
The form and finish look beautiful though

See? You never knew that ancient wooly mammoths turned pens, did you?
Just one more thing you learn reading these forums!

Nice job, Peter.

Pen Swap
This pen was made in America as a swap pen for me by Dawn. The casting is down to her as well as the turning. The pen I sent beforehand to Dawn was this Pen in the pic in this reply.
Now the pen I received must contain pieces or chips of Wooly Mammoth TUSKS set
into a casting. Apparently these Mammoth beasts ceased their existence on this earth ten thousand years ago. Archeologists estimate large numbers remain in the ground, when uncovered some are not able to be used in restorations of animal skeletons so they become available for sale with the proceeds help further research and education.
In my innocence I thought this pen I received from Dawn in the IAP swap above and the original post is the PEN that I received if any confusion exists well so be it.
Thanks for this pen have been expressed and once again thanks Dawn.
Dawn received the pen I made in Conkerberry and made gracious comments when she received it.

Peter, as noted by the red above, I believe that part of the statement to be wrong.
Apparently there have been no archeologists at the Southwick Inn lately. There are some mammoth, tusk-toothed hairy creatures that reside at that place, especially during happy hour, or if a popular music group is playing there.
A 3000 lb one would be considered light -weight
Ah damn, I am going to get in trouble for this one, I can just see it coming.
Of course, the earth shaking could only mean they are attempting to dance down there.
On the other hand, the pen you posted just above is beautiful.
The center band is very different from what I have seen available here.
What type of streamline kit is that? Or did you make that nice looking centerband yourself.
And no, this last paragraph is NOT sarcasm, unlike the first three to this reply
