My pen swap pen WIP
I didn't want to hijack the pen swap photo thread so will start a new one for it here. The majority of the waste was removed by router and then the rest was chiseled out. My first attempt at this pen was a failure so made up two blanks this time around expecting the one with brass sheet to fail. I didn't have any problems so now I have another blank to play around with when I can be bothered. All segments were glued in with medium CA and clamped for 20 min each. Finish is CA sanded to 12000.
CorbsIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Thanks guys
Mik, you're correct on black cardboard. I have found that cardboard works well and turns a lot easier than brass. The stepped one is one of the easiest laminations to do (after a basic straight line glue up) The finished stepped one is here. It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Wow, that's a lot of work on a pen blank, but good on you for giving it a go and pushing the envelope a little
Cheers,
