Default My pen swap pen WIP

I didn't want to hijack the pen swap photo thread so will start a new one for it here. The majority of the waste was removed by router and then the rest was chiseled out. My first attempt at this pen was a failure so made up two blanks this time around expecting the one with brass sheet to fail. I didn't have any problems so now I have another blank to play around with when I can be bothered. All segments were glued in with medium CA and clamped for 20 min each. Finish is CA sanded to 12000.

    Thanks guys

Mik, you're correct on black cardboard. I have found that cardboard works well and turns a lot easier than brass. The stepped one is one of the easiest laminations to do (after a basic straight line glue up) The finished stepped one is here.

Wow, that's a lot of work on a pen blank, but good on you for giving it a go and pushing the envelope a little

    Cheers,
    Dave
