    Default Pen swap PNPTA

This is what I received in a pen swap on PNPTA forum, what a gloat that you Carl. A beautiful Trustone pen and a bounty of blanks I have never seen before.

Always nice to get surprises Just a query though to me it looks like the assembly of the barrel is a bit out ,maybe got the ends transposed, one end looks proud, and the other undersized. a simple error if that is the case to repair .but then it may be my old eyes .
    Cheers ~ John

Nice pen Sam and a nice bounty well done

John I think your eye are OK but I do not think he has the blank transposed because if my memory serves me right the nib end is larger then than the other end. Or it may be equal but I can not recall making a pen with a smaller diameter nib end.

    Anyway it still looks great

John the pen is beautifully made and finished I think it was meant to be slightly under-turned at the finial. In no way does it detract fro the quality of the pen and I rather like to see the ring proud a little.

Hey Sam, great pen mate !. I did a couple of Knight pens the other day, and couldn't figure out why the nib end was a few thou proud, then yesterday I was sorting out my bushings box & discovered that I had put an Elegant Beauty bushing into the Knight bushing compartment of my kit box. Thank goodness for digital calipers, as the diff in size is very hard to spot. Cheers.
    I never forget anything I remember !!
