Sat 12 Oct from 1830 works for me... what would you like me to bring along?

Well that's up to you. If you have any glued up blanks ready to turn then we could see a variety between how we all turn or finish differently?

I was just asking Evan today if he'd like to bring his little m305 so we could have two lathes turning to get plenty of practice in for everyone but he just sold it so no go for that idea. Unless u have a midi you'd like to bring in? ;-)

Other than that as we've got only a 2 week old bub and I wanna be in the garage more than cooking i thought we'd just get a pizza hut delivery for us as it's easiest. Let me know if that doesn't suit as we have a few options around for food

Then roughly the same date in Nov we'll do the same and we can have a focus on casting or something along those lines when dai sensei is down

I will see what I can have glued up and ready to go for the visit then. I have an M305 as well so will see how easy it is to unbolt from my desk and can probably bring it along, the big Nova will have to stay though . Pizza is fine for me as well thanks

Depending on timing, I'm happy to host when Neil is in the area and we could do a visit to the gallery if you'd like as well. Not sure how that would work out for you and the bub though. Just a thought.

Also I should mention that I do have kits of Jr gents and JR victors and few slimlines that i can cut and clue up so all good if you don't have anything to bring in. Just a handy if we had more. M305 would be awesome. I've got a large bench to have it mounted on

Oh cool that would be great. It's easier for me to be at home as i'm in ear shot but i can organise an alternative for sure so that would be good cheers

    I'll be there for sure.

Miss my little m305. It was a ripper, but alas, only room for one and bloody has me hooked on the big stuff.

Between pens, bowls, cups, plates, mugs, scoops, Lego heads and now segmented bowls, I'm not getting any time for REAL woodwork....

Crickey, I haven't even used my "new" thickness sander yet!

Why don't you drop over to the Hall Mens Shed on Sunday (6 October) between 12:00 and 3:00 when the shed and museum of old trade tools will be open. We have some surplus pen blanks which were donated which you could pick up. The hall markets will also be open. The Hall Mens shed is at the old Primary school in Palmer street.

How many are going? I have a few blanks glued up and cut up a silky oak slab for bowl blanks the other day and turned the rest into blanks. I now have more silky oak pen blanks than I will ever use so can bring them along as well.

Thanks Nathan for hosting a great night . I really enjoyed myself and look forward to seeing some completed pens posted down the track. If anyone's visiting Bungendore down the track, please feel free to drop me a line and if I'm around come by for a brew and a tour of my shed
