I know they have to be imported from the States, so I reckon the price may have to alter due to the exchange rate. Amos

Just got one for my brother & one for me a couple months ago from Harbor freight USA #97838. But went to their web just now & it says 'not available now'. Might keep trying in case they bring them back. Cost me $19.99 each & a darn good vice.

http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=20440 http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=4365 The $49.99 should be as good as any. Main thing is making sure it's centered. I used a 3/8 piece of wood dowel about 7" long & put it in the drill chuck. Then clamped the pen vice on the other end. Make sure when it touches the DP table it's perfectly flat. Then clamp it down. Doesn't take any special tool to set it up.

I use the one from Woodcraft and have had no problems with it. I simply chucked a large drill bit and ran it down to the table. Clamped the vise around it and clamped the vise to the drill press table. Released the clamps on the vise and viola, perfectly centered.

My personal pen vice however, is buying too many kits and too much pretty timber.
