Pencil Pens
6 freebies for my sister, a teacher, to give to her fellow teachers. Made from little slices of pencils, sanded round at one end before attaching to the tube, then cast in black resin. All click Sierra pens that she requested, 3 Black Ti, and 3 Satin Silver.
It was my last weekend to get them done, but the local wood turning club wanted a working bee today cleaning up all the timber around the buildings, so I had to do them in a hurry yesterday. I finished casting 7 blanks with 1 spare last weekend. The first 4 blanks I turned went Ok but the last 3 didn't behave (in a hurry ). So I ended up butchering one to help save the other 2. Still not happy with those 2, but there just isn't enough time to make more, it takes 2 weeks to go through the process.

Having seen firsthand the process that needs to be gone through for these beauties ,it's a real labour of love and skills and patience , the sort of thing one would do for a brother or sister or close family member , one of those things that is hard to price but make a great gift !! cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!
