    Default PenPro pocket knife kits

    Hi all,

Just wondering what everyone thought of these:
Monster 8x10x1 Inch Acrylic Slabs, Acrylic Knife Scales

How would you turn the handle?
Its a very expensive kit so I wont tackle it now, but maybe after a few thousand pens. Lol

    Cheers
    Shoey

Hey Shoey. The 'Flick Knife' kit might be a bit of a problem here as they are classified as an illegal 'concealable weapon', BUT, hey, the web site that sells them is a new one on me !. They sell some nice timbers etc. Thanks for the link !

Same as Pariss said. Those kits are illegal in Queensland. I'd check your regulations in WA first otherwise Customs will seize them when they reach Australia and you will do your money and possibly face an importation charge.

    Am I missing something here?

The link is to a site selling acrylic blanks not knife kits.

    Acco

If the thread was not called PenPro pocket knife kits and the first photo that came up when clicking on the link was not a flick knife or switch blade and the question was not about turning knife handles then maybe it would be about blanks. But I think not or maybe I have missed something.

Yes that is correct, but because he also says they are expensive, I'm thinking he may think he is looking at a kit whereas it's only for an acrylic blank?

Just had a quick look thru that site and cannot see any knife kits, so I'm assuming that he has misinterpreted what is actually available.

Yeah, my bad. It is for just a blank. Must be a big bastard for $75.

At 8x10x1 inch thats enough for about 30-32, 1x1x2.5 inch blanks (about the right length for a sierra kit) once you cut it down. Makes it only $2.50 per blank plus whatever postage. Sounds about right to me.

$2.50 for a half blank of pretty standard colours straight out of a machine sounds expensive to me, especially when you have to cut it yourself, I would expect that price for a full blank
