Top pens!!!
Just a preference for me - Ebony is at it's best when highly polished.

Very nice pens. I like the closed end Sedonas as they don't have the ugly thread at the top of the barrel.

Well done.
As these are not my children or any relation I can choose which one I like the best.

Folks,
Thanks for the feedback ! SWMBO's delighted her Pearl Parkers so liked !
I've been playing with the closed end style for a couple of weeks now, plenty more experimentation to go, some ideas to be tested out yet. Have been using a length of quarter inch bsw rod and drilling the blank past any components etc then screwing the rod in and putting a bush on it and clamping it in my pin jaws on the chuck. Works well !
The photo set up is a really cheap lash up, a cardboard box from Bunnings, cut out the sides and top, shine desk lights on each side and the top, use a long piece of paper/card in it as a backdrop, put the camera on the tripod, then set the white balance, macro setting and use the smallest aperture in the aperture priority mode and hey presto ! I suggest Googling "small product photography " or " table top photography" for good information.
