Tubes glued to fingers? Could be worse... could be your finger glued to your eye-lid... or your eyelids glued shut. (Don't ask. )

Hint: keep a bottle of nail-polish remover next to the lathe.

Good job for your first pens, I still have my first couple and it's a funny thing, but after my first dozen or so I looked back at the first and felt a tad embarassed about them... yet now I look at them with a bit of pride and think I didn't do too badly! (Because I've certainly turned some that are a damned sight worse since... )

    What finish did you use?

Robyn, looks like you did fairly well, a bit closer with the camera would help see it better, or did you feel you might have to step back a bit to appreciate !!! keep it up. Amos

an emery board is really handy for sanding glue off fingers so you can feel things again!

    Let the addiction begin!!

    G'day Bob,
First pens? Those are a site better than my first. You did a great job on balance/maintaining the shape on the upper and lower barrel. Most definitely keep those two pens, no matter what. You will look back on the fondly in years to come. Just rip the tubes off of your finger. It only hurts for a bit, and the skin will grow back on its own.

    Cheers,

    Rick

    Easy solution Bob!

If the tubes get stuck to your fingers just turn your
fingers and hope you get a good grain.

    Hi Bob,
If you decide to bite/chew superglue off fingers, make sure it is
    all dry first.

Bob nice first two pens, closer photos would be better to see the pens but that will get better. My photography was when I started, still sometimes. As Rick said keep the first ones as a beginning for the start of your journey into pen crafting.
