Pens, Atomisers and more
It has been a while since Ive posted a few bits as I have been working on some redgum for a friend (see general turning thread). But I have managed a few bits and bobs.
First are three Redgum pens (two slims and a Polaris). All CA finished with mm and polish.
Then a Blackwood Polaris, love the way the wood changes tone down the centre. Same finish. Also an acrylic in gold, red and blue on a Cigar.
I also tried my hand at my first two perfume atomisers. The first is a Pink, purple swirl the second red and black (both from Timberbits). This was a fun little project as it was the first time I had made buttons for the ends, and the first time I had drilled using the lathe.
Cheers

You have done some very neat work there. I like the lot. I am about to try the atomiser bit. Have not looked at the kits yet. Do they require the end to be turned like you have done???

The kits have two brass tubes, one top and one bottom. For ease I used the kit and turned between bushings, hence the end cap. I am sure you can turn it other ways though and I will probably try at some stage. The kit was easy to turn, these came from Carba-tec.

Very nice collection you have made there well done
There are two types of kits. one requires the end turned the other dose not you will need to have a look at the parts in your kit to see. If unsure post a pic of all the parts and I (or many others) should be able to tell you. If you do don't fear it is not that hard and many here can talk you through it.Cheers Rum Pig
