    Default Pens Deluxe

Recently was in Sydney for daughter's wedding, we visited the Queen Victoria Building and at the very top there was a shop that made my eyes pop. Called "Pen-Ultimate" in Sydney and :The Pen Shoppe" in Brisbane, their website is www.pensdeluxe.com , I took photos with my mobile phone because I didn't have my camera with me. Amos The craftmanship was superb, the presentation and boxes par excellence. Gave me something to aim for. Amos

Yeah I've been into the Pen Shoppe in Brisbane years ago. It always reminded me of an exclusive jewelery shop, but I wasn't interested in pens back then. Did they notice you taking pictures? Might have thought you were casing the joint

Y'know what, I have to say that I think all those pens are ugly and a waste of money. I'd sell an Emperor for $230 and they're flogging off pens (which don't look anywhere near as good) for 10 times that
    Ridiculous!!

Might go and have a look at lunchtime
like the look of the buddha like statue with hands out holding a pen - would look good in all my photos I think

No, I didn't offer any of mine, they did have some Sierras made here in Australia, mostly out of Acrylic. Amos, I was just over awed by the beauty and quality I saw. Amos

Last year while on a school camp in Sydney (for careers) we got some shopping time at QVB. I went into this store and my jaw dropped . there are some really great looking pens in there and only a few crappy looking ones FC

Well I made an inquiry at the Brisbane store some time ago but they were not in the least interested.

I am not worried as they expect to get the pens well marked down and sell at a high price. I have already quite a few sales that would normally have gone to them but I have picked up the sale by word of mouth and got my full asking price.

I suspect in Sydney a person by the name of Serge, who does beautiful work could be the unknown supplier.

The expensive part in this is knowing and paying for a beautiful box with white velvet cushioning and having it imprinted in gold colouring. Because not many boxes would be required the price would be almost like one off prices for design and fabrication, then the many beautiful pens we see here on our forum,(and there are many) could be displayed properly for the market that will pay for it. Relax please be in good spirits that the high prices will only be paid by over paid execs and Yuppies who have nothing better to do with their hard earned $$$. Knowing what such as QBE shop owners pay in rent leaves that the pens themselves would have to be 150% to 200% over priced.
