Latest Pens ( Warning lots of Photos)
Had some shop time the last couple days and thought I would show a few pens. I grouped them all together instead of individual threads. Thanks for looking and any comments or questions are always welcomed.
The first group is 2 pens made with the same material, green truestone and a faux casen material. I just interchanged the caps and barrels and liked the look. I think it gives a classy look. The kit is a Hybrid Cambridge with gold titanium and sterling silver trim.
The next pen is a blue acrylic on a Hybrid Cambridge kit with Sterling Silver and Titanium Gold trim.
The next is a green avacado acrylic on a Majestic kit

Beaut pens JT, very good fit and finish on all of them. Very good photos as well
Just curious, would love to see some shots of the malachite and the im casein as a a whole pen, ie a malachite pen and a casein pen.
Would be good to see that as a comparison.

I will see if I can shoot some today.
I have made the green truestone together before and it sold well. In fact my artistic sho I used one. Her are those photos also. This is the first time I used the Faux casein. I just though mixing it up gave a different look and they would look great. I am thinking of making one a fountain pen and selling as a set. Then the owner can do as they please.

Great set of pens there JT
The Cambridge is a great kit, shame it has that plastic band visible, as I believe it spoils them. I wanted to use them for some of the special casts, but one half has hardly any meat and the other plenty, so this causes issues.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

i agree neil, its a great looking kit other than the plastic coupler.
somebody on the IAP was talking about grinding them off ! dont know what came of it..

The black coupler is a source of discussion many times. I have grown to accept it but will try at some time to come up with an alternative. It has been done where a thin ring has been turned of the casein material to hide the black ring and it looked very good but takes extreme care to do.
Thanks all for the kind words.

Mix and match, Im ok with that colours are incredble have seen them on another place could not hep noticing the meltdown there recently on another subject.
I am a fan of the black band it holds the bling and balances it to my way of viewing.
Centre bands, black bands, are my cuppa it reminds me they are pens after all the prime reason I make them, dressing up kitty as a dog sure does not do it for me. I sure support innovation but deplore personel vendettas against basic pens based on bias or subjective criticism. We all are entitled to a place in the sun,my dear Mum said son always pay cash for everything you can feel free to shop where you please and freely claim your own choice.
Enjoy your postings.
Kind regards Peter.
