Penturner (Amos) visit
Well I was able to call in on Amos today and say hello. It was great to catch up with him, but no sooner than I had arrived, he was loading me up with amazing pen blanks and other goodies.
Now not that I don't want them, but there are heaps and they are way to valuable to give away, plus I have very little room or load capacity to take them all back with me. So I suggested I sell them off at extremely low prices at the BBQ next weekend (see https://www.woodworkforums.com/f8/forum-bbq-tooradin-vic-193277) with all monies collected given back to Amos. Some of these blanks are one-offs worth great deal and not for the beginners, some are even blanks I sold to Amos years ago
, but most are from overseas.
I'll bundle up any leftovers and offer them up as package deals for those not able to make it to the BBQ. But those who attend the BBQ will have first pick

I am not able to attend BBQ, distance and timing is an issue, but am certainly interested in pen blanks as I intend pursuing pen turning in the not too distant future. I hope that what is raised helps Amos in some tangible way...
I haven't met him and have only been a forum member of recent times but can discern from posts that he is one who has given freely of his knowledge and skill and has been dealt an unfair blow. He deserves better...

Whilst I was there Amos also fired up the engraving machine. I love watching these things work, it is a large unique machine, the results are amazing. Unfortunately this too needs to be sold, so if anyone is interested, send a PM to PenTurner and you may be able to pick up a bargain

I am reading it two ways the blanks are really expensive or Neil truck is very cheap.
