Pheasant wood is one I haven’t tried before, looks to have plenty of character.

Never heard of that timber before. I like what you did with it.
Edited to add: Just looked it up and it is native to Hawaii. Also grows in Indonesia. Cassia siamea of the family Fabaceae (syn. Leguminosae) the legume, pea, or bean family.When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.
