Phoenix and Buckeye
I wasn't going to post these pictures as I was trying out my baby light tent and backgrounds are horrible , in spite of that I think the pen comes out OK ,just arrived yesterday so of course I had to see one finished lol. This is a heavy pen about 54 grams ,compared to 34 for a standard sierra ,the barrell is about 10mm longer as well ,shows off a lot of wood or whatever it's dressed in .Mind you my wifes truestone majestic squire weighs 54 grams as well ,which surprised me when I checked . The buckeye is stabilised and finished lightly with CA and normal finishing . cheers ~ John
( I might try for a simple daylight shot tomorrow )G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Thats an interesting looking pen John, it looks like a quality bit of gear. I havent seen that one before. More variety is a good thing.
Is it a finial twist ?
I think the background colours are a bit overpowering, for me a more neutral white or grey would let the pen do the talking.
But thats just me, others will have different thoughts.

john, they are the new one out of Woodturningz aren't they? How does it feel in the hand, I would guess the curve is sculpted to fit the thumb and fore finger. You can't beat Buckeye for a timber. Fit and finish is clean and smooth. Definately rishing from the ashes
Cheers

Yep background not good It is the new kit from Woodturningz and is quite substantial, the nib section unscrews at centre band ,and the advantage here is you could make a custom centre band to match the body as a "Mod" definately an "upmarket"sierra style
Cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

Thanks for that last pic John.
That kit looks promising, might have to try and get a couple and see how they go.
