Great job on both. I especially like the watch pen. I just bought a Mickey Mouse watch on Ebay to give this a try.

Bob , just be aware that modern battery watches have very few working parts and then mostly plastic I am sure you can get small bags of "dissasembled " watch gears and parts off Ebay pretty cheap ,they are used in steampunk a lot . A bit of a learning curve with these ,just try and choose kits with plenty of meat to allow the gear bits some cover when cast , and turned worth the effort but you need to be in the mood for a bit of "fiddling" hehe, cheers ~ John

Mik ,I use a few methods for bending parts ,for the lighter bits gears etc I use a pair of modified pliers from Ebay, originally designed for bending watch shafts ,I simply replaced the plastic anvils with ones fabricated from cutting boards, For the heavier parts I file them as thin as possible ,they are mostly plated brass ,then after an initial bend with a form and die in my drill press as a start, then I use 2 pairs of long nose pliers to bend to the required final curve , as you know its all a bit fiddly hehe, cheers ~John

As John said if it is a battery operated watch it will have very few usable parts. Also be careful there are some valuable Micky Mouse watches out there. If it is windable I would look further into it before destrying it. I also would practice on some other cheap $1 watch first. These are on my to do list also. Have some different ideas in mind. Hope you don't steal my ideas.
