A photo introduction!
Hey guys and gals, it has been a little while since I have been foruming! Life Happens! But since I am signed up for the upcoming swap, I thought I would share some recent work, just so my swap partners are not super nervous! If you are an IAP contributor, these may be redundant...for those who are not, here goes!
• Showa Sanshoku Rollerball- A Koi Inspired Rollerball made from a Hand Cast Resin (not of my casting) and matched up with a black acrylic cap.
• Custom Quail Mosaic Fountain Pen - Made this one for my last swap partner over at IAP. Hand laid each individual piece of cleaned quail egg shell. Creates a nice mosaic and gradient across this atrax roller ball. Finished off with CA Glue instead of casting. (yes it was a ton of CA)
• Redwood Lace Burl Fountain Pen - JR. Statesman in Rhodium and Black Titanium, dressed in Redwood Burl. This one always gives me the biggest fit when it comes to photos. I never can capture all the small details in the dark burl figure! Best I got for now! Finished off with a Bock 5mm nib and schmidt piston converter.
• Set of 2 Custom Cigar Rollerballs - These faux cigar rollerballs are among my favorite to make. These are both made from Macassar ebony and Buckeye burl. They contain a few Jr. Gentleman components inside. Complete with ash, and while you cant see the other end, it is drilled out and filled with shavings from the ebony to resemble tobacco.
• And Lastly a Custom Engraved Jr. Statesman RB - This rollerball was made from Cherry and laser engraved for a customer here in the states. Complete with Rhodium and Black Titanium accents, and custom eagle in flight image!
Comments and Critiques are surely welcome! There are plenty of photos of these, but would hate to bombard the forum with photos so I thought I would pick just a few! Hope you enjoy, and I am looking forward to visiting much more often! Thanks!

I am in the swap and very much just a beginner. Still trying to find my niche.
And you have made me nervous.

That's one of the best introductions I've seen in a long time
Regarding the cigar pens, where do you get them from? I have a friend who takes his cigar smoking very seriously and this would be a fantastic present for himIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Thanks again everyone! No need to be nervous, swaps are for all skill levels, and each one has taught me something. You should use these swaps to try to learn a new technique, or try that one thing you have been waiting to try! As far as Cigar pens go....where I got them... in my wood shed I guess would be the answer! I can post a few photos of them opened etc....They basically boil down to a double closed ended pen with what ever sort of guts you choose to size them for. Looking forward to this swap, and many more to come!!
