Folks, if you want to know frustration, just try Pine Cone, I have been at it since 3pm and now it's eleven pm and the results have been sort of dissapointing , even with stabilizing with CA and great care, all sorts of problems with the soft centres in them and blow outs etc. reckon The CA sellers will be happy though, used so much for so little return. Amos The photos are of my latest effort.

I've been meaning to try my hand, but haven't had much luck in finding cones lately. Not that I've gone out of my way to look, mind.

Now I'm having second thoughts: I love your results, but I'm not too sure I really want the challenge. Not with the problems I already have on my plate...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Skew, maybe I infringed on your territory and picked up all the cones! , But just for interst sake, I went to a Trade Show today, and had three pine cone pens, I labelled one "Reject Pine Cone" the barrel showed and it was awful, the finish was ok, Lady fell in love with it and bought it, the other two also went like hot cakes, so I am going to have to revise my prices there in accordance with the time put in in making that type of pen,. I mention also that quite some time ago I tried to make crosscut cypress from Bunnings, and filled the blowouts with gold sprinkle , and another with green sprinkle and called them dentist pens! they also sold! I think I need to practise blowing out blanks and filling them!? Amos
